What is Crylipolysis and How Does it Reduce Fat?
A lot of people turn to painful and very invasive surgeries to get rid of fat, which of course are quite effective considering the fact that there is a lot of pain involved. As a matter of fact, it’s safe to bet that it’s already a billion dollar industry.
However, if you’re one of those who are desperate to lose that excess fat in your body and get a slimmer figure but does not have the courage to go under the knife, there is a new and rather interesting alternative. This alternative comes in the form of cryolipolysis. Unlike typical surgical procedures to reduce fat, this one is safer and does not involve any invasive procedure. And since the procedure is classified as non-invasive, it only means it doesn’t cause any pain to the patient.
The first cryolipolysis was approved by the FDA in September of 2010 for the purpose of fat layer reduction. The patented procedure makes use of cooling technology to target and freeze subcutaneous fat cells, the idea of which is to achieve the state of crystallization. It later was observed by dermatologists that the fat cells subjected or exposed to cold eventually were destroyed. The thing is when fat cells are crystallized, the body will then naturally eliminate it using the lymphatic system. To put it in other words, the fat cells in the body targeted by the process will die a natural death.
It may be true that cryolipolysis will take a couple of months for results to be visible, but the most important thing of all is that the entire procedure is safe. The fact is cryolipolysis is just a tool intended to kick start the process, while the body is responsibility for doing the rest. In other words, the process is so natural and comes with absolutely zero risks.
Furthermore, unlike surgery or any other invasive procedure, there is zero damage to the patient’s skin cells or tissues. What’s even more interesting is that there really is no need for the use of needles or any kind of anesthesia. During the procedure, patients are comfortable enough that they can relax in whatever way they can; some even just listen to music or read a book.
Based on ultrasound results, patients who were subjected to this treatment experienced fat reduction by about 20%. There is no denying that surgery is able to provide a faster and more immediate fat reduction result, but what’s great about this procedure is that it is additive, which means the patient can have another treatment after just two months down the line. But it is worthy of mention that some patients can attest that they are fully satisfied with the full results of the first treatment, which means some don’t really need a second treatment.
Lastly, should you decide to undergo this treatment, it is important that you embrace a healthier lifestyle right after for the results to last.
